Hair Design

Hair design is the art of framing the face, enhancing makeup, and harmonizing with our lifestyle and fashion choices. It serves as the “clothing” for our head, shaped to contain and complement our 1000-gram brain. Modern hair design considers the angles of the forehead, cheekbones, and the back of the head, reflecting the current human form. Balance in hair design is often guided by the natural lines of facial features or extensions of these lines to create symmetry.

Challenges in Hair Design

Is it possible to deviate from the human shape when creating hairstyles? Yes, it happens more often than we realize. I recall an experience at a Christmas party where a co-worker proudly showcased his boyfriend’s haircut—a design he had crafted himself. The hairstyle was unbalanced, resembling something more alien or bird-like than human. This was a clear example of how extending the natural balance of the head shape in the wrong direction can lead to a distorted look. Before crafting any hairstyle, it’s crucial to recognize which lines in the person’s head shape deviate from the average egg shape.

Understanding Hair Growth Functionality

Hair grows at a 90-degree angle from the follicle, lying at a 45-degree angle due to growth patterns. This positioning is not random but serves essential functions:

• Sun Protection: Hair acts as a natural shade, protecting the scalp from harsh sunlight.
• Weather Shield: It functions like a wiper in heavy rain, guiding water away and keeping vision clear.
• Physical Protection: Hair shields the head and ears from cuts or impact.
• Storage and Drainage: Growth patterns around the ears help direct sweat and water flow, ensuring our sight remains unobstructed.
• Excretion: Hair acts as an excretory organ, helping eliminate toxins from the body.
• Sexual Attraction: Hair signals gender and health, influencing social attraction.
• Health Indicator: The condition of hair reflects overall health, especially protein levels.
  

  **髪の機能とヘアデザインの目標の定義**

  **ヘアデザイン**

  ヘアデザインは、顔をフレーミングし、メイクを引き立て、ライフスタイルやファッションの選択と調和させる芸術です。髪は頭部の「衣服」として機能し、1000グラムの脳を包み込み、保護するように形作られます。現代のヘアデザインは、額の角度、頬骨、頭の後ろの形状を考慮し、現代人の形を反映しています。ヘアデザインのバランスは、顔の自然なラインやその延長を基にして、対称性を生み出すことが多いです。

  **ヘアデザインの課題**

  ヘアスタイルを作成する際に、人間の形から逸脱することは可能でしょうか？ はい、実際には私たちが思っているよりも頻繁に起こります。クリスマスパーティーで、同僚が自分でデザインした彼氏のヘアカットを自慢していた経験を思い出します。そのヘアスタイルは不均衡で、人間というよりも異星人や鳥のような印象を与えていました。これは、頭の自然なバランスを間違った方向に延ばすと、歪んだ見た目になることを示す顕著な例でした。どんなヘアスタイルを作成する前にも、その人の頭の形が平均的な卵形からどのラインで逸脱しているかを認識することが重要です。

  **髪の成長機能の理解**

  髪は毛包から90度の角度で生えていて、毛流れにより45度の角度で横たわっています。この位置はランダムではなく、重要な機能を果たします：

  – **太陽からの保護**: 髪は自然なシェードとして機能し、頭皮を強い日光から守ります。
  – **雨天候での視野確保**: 雨が激しい時のワイパーのように、水を流し、視界を確保します。
  – **物理的保護**: 髪は頭部や耳を切り傷や衝撃から守ります。
  – **聴覚の保護*: 耳周りの成長パターンは、汗や水の流れを誘導し、聴覚を妨げないようにします。
  – **排泄**: 髪は排泄器官として機能し、体内の毒素を排出する手助けをします。
  – **性的魅力**: 髪は性別や健康を示し、社会的な魅力に影響を与えます。
  – **健康の指標**: 髪の状態は全体的な健康、特にタンパク質のレベルを反映しています。

Design Control in Hair Crafting

In our hair design operations, control is essential when adjusting volume—whether shaving off excess or constructing extended shapes. This approach is reflected in the images of the hairstyles: the Bob cut on the right and the short style on the left. The key design elements, like the folded surface in the lower quarter of the Bob or the extended volume line from the cheekbone in the short style, emphasize the concept of the hair as a container for the brain. These details are crucial because, as we know, women are incredibly smart and strong!

私たちのサロンでは、以下の理念を体現するデザインコンセプトをサポートすることを目指しています：

**ヘアクラフトにおけるデザインコントロール**

ヘアデザインの作業においては、ボリュームを調整する際のコントロールが重要です。余分な部分を剃り落とすことや、拡張した形を構築することが含まれます。このアプローチは、下の写真にある右側のボブカットや左側のショートスタイルの画像にも反映されています。デザインの重要な要素、例えばボブの下部四分の一の折りたたまれた面や、ショートスタイルの頬骨からの延長されたボリュームラインは、髪を脳の容器として強調しています。これらのディテールは重要です。なぜなら、女性は非常に賢く、強いことが分かっているからです！
