Some things you can expect from your first time facial experience here at BB Meme Salon Hillcrest:

-All treatments will be performed by licensed Esthetician, Ashlee Tomlin.

-Whether you’re a new client or returning, all treatments will include a consultation beforehand to assess how your skin is doing the day of your appointment. If needed, adjustments will be made.

-All facial treatments are tailored to: help you relax, address current skin needs, work towards your skin goals, and target any specific skin concerns you would like to work on.

Consult, Cleanse, and Analyze:
Your facial will always begin with a consultation to get a brief history of your skin and how you are currently treating it. From there, the facial services start with a thorough cleansing of your face to remove any: dirt, oils, and/or makeup. Most of the time, clients will come in to the salon without makeup on but you will still get a thorough cleansing regardless. No worries if you come to the salon with a full face of makeup on. We have the products to remove without causing irritation and start fresh. Providing a deep cleanse is crucial to allow the following steps of treatment to work to their highest potential.  After your cleanse, a quick analysis of the skin takes place. This will allow your Esthetician to see everything clearly and if any adjustments need to be made, they can be made during this step.

Exfoliation:
Based off our initial consultation, your exfoliation will take place following the deep cleanse. This can come in the form of physical, enzymatic, or chemical exfoliation. You may also not experience any kind of exfoliation and instead barrier repair will be the main focus in the treatment room. These decisions will all stem from the answers given in the consultation.

Modalities and Peels:
Getting a quick history of your skin and a basic background of your health allows the Esthetician to incorporate modalities into the service such as:

• Celluma High Therapy
• High Frequency
• Micro Current
• Extraction

These modalities are suited for most clients but to remain on the safe side, this is why we have a consultation beforehand. Same with getting a chemical peel. Getting a chemical peel done if a great way to boost your individual results. That being said, the peels performed at BB Meme Hillcrest are done utilizing high percentage exfoliants, most of which are not for first time clients. Skin preparation prior to a peel is really important to ensure a safe peel performance and that you see the results you are looking for. Ask our Esthetician, Ashlee about how you can get your skin prepped for a peel at your next appointment.

Masks, Facial Massage, and Finishing the Treatment:
Each step of the facial is treated with an additional massage to ensure client’s overall comfort and relaxation. This allows for the products to be spread evenly over the skin. There is no separate facial massage step.

Each person will receive a customized treatment mask tailored to address your skin’s current needs. Whether it is:

• Hydration needs
• Exfoliation and Brightening needs
• Calming the skin and aid in barrier repair

Your face mask will be left on for the designated time period, letting the active ingredients work their magic.
After removing your face mask, the Esthetician will apply customized serums suited to nourish and protect the skin post treatment. These products are carefully selected based off the consultation to address your skin needs. During the finishing steps of your facial, the Esthetician will want to discuss your home-care routine. If needed, some home-care products will be recommended and tips will be shared to get the best benefits of your facial.
